The Champions League draw takes place on Friday and Live Soccer TV analyzes a few things ahead of it. We briefly look at the rules and the teams that have qualifed.

Champions League draw to take place on Friday.Champions League Draw: What Are The Rules?

Rule 1: Seeded teams are to meet unseeded teams. In other words, two teams that qualified into the Last 16 of the Champions League as winners of their respective group cannot be drawn against each other.

Rule 2: It is impossible for two clubs who were in the same group to meet again in the Last 16. This means that Real Madrid and AC Milan – who were both in Group G – cannot clash affront each other once again. In the same way for example, Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan – who were both in Group A – or again Manchester United and Valencia – who were both in Group C – cannot be drawn together.

Rule 3: No-one should fear about the prospect of a fixture such as Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal. That’s never going to happen. In fact, the Champions League draw rule does not allow two teams from the same country to clash in the Last 16 of the tournament. Arsenal and Spurs fans can relax; their rivalry won’t be renewed in the Champions League… at least, not at this stage!
