The Brazilian right back is set to join Manchester City on a supposedly free transfer, following just one season with the bianconeri.

After weeks of speculation, Dani Alves has finally put an end to his relationship with Juventus.

The outspoken right back seemed to be quite interested in leaving the bianconeri, with Manchester City and Chelsea as the frontrunners to land his signing. Today, via an Instagram post in Spanish, the Brazilian international ended his term as a Juventus player.

But the player could not leave Juventus without taking a dig against Giuseppe Marota, Juve's exec, who entered a war of words with the Brazilian last week about his wages and how he demanded a free transfer away from the bianconeri.

Here's Alves' Instagram post along with the necessary translation.

MUCHAS GRACIAS! #TAMOACTIVOPANITA

"I'd like to thank all of Juventus' supporters for this past year, my team-mates, for being so kind to me and for their professionalism, because they're the reason why this team gets to final games and wins them. My respects for this club and its fanbase, I tried to make this club even greater with my dedication, my drive, my passion and all my efforts. I apologize to those fans who believe I've offended you in any way, I never meant to do that. I go through life being spontaneous, and sometimes people don't understand it, so even if some believe that I'm perfect, I'm not, but my heart is true."

"Today, I put an end to our professional relationship, and I will keep all of those that make this a great club forever in my heart. I have to say thank you to Mister Marota for giving him the opportunity to work with a true professional, someone that loves football above most things. I play this game because I love it, and I respect all those involved in it. I'll let you take advantage of everything I've worked for, so you can pay for many holidays. I love football, and money will never be an issue that will hold me back. THANK YOU!"
