After last week's revelations involving CR7's desire to leave Los Blancos, it seems that it will all be down to one man to decide if he joins the Red Devils or not.

Cristiano Ronaldo may want to leave Manchester United, but the team may not be ready to splash cash to sign the Portuguese striker.

According to a report by Marca, even if Ed Woodward or Sir Alex Ferguson want CR7 back at Old Trafford, the final decision will be taken by none other than José Mourinho.

While at Real Madrid, reports suggest that Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo had a complicated relationship, which had its most complicated moment during Mou's final season as Los Blancos' boss. Furthermore, Mourinho's comments about coaching "the real Ronaldo" -in reference to Ronaldo Nazario and not CR7- didn't help pave the way for a reunion.

With that in mind, sources close to Manchester United's tactician admit that a number of issues prevent Red Devils' execs to forward a massive bid to sign the striker. His age, the €200M buyout clause set by Los Blancos, a lengthy deal that could guarantee CR7 at least €25M per season, and most importantly, his "real" desire to leave his current team are some of the obstacles in this negotiation.

Last, but not least, Mourinho has trusted his inner circle that he has no intention of making a move to have the striker back at the Theatre of Dreams, since he remains unconvinced of the real benefit his signing would bring to the team.
