The Brazilian icon killed any comparison between the Juventus ace and Diego Maradona.

Juventus ace Paulo Dybala is hailed as the future of football – alongside the likes of Neymar, Pogba, and Harry Kane. Since his £23m move to the Bianconeri, the Argentine has been an indispensible member of Allegri’s title-winning side.

Dybala has even been likened to Argentina legend Diego Maradona. Others have tipped the 23-year-old as “the next Lionel Messi” – a title which several other players in the past failed to live up to.

However, football icon Pele disagrees with the Dybala praise. The legend of the beautiful game spoke about the Argentine after La Albiceleste’s 1-0 win over Brazil in a friendly in Melbourne.

As quoted by Football Italia, Pele insists that the Juventus ace is overrated. The Brazilian said: “Dybala? He’s not as good as people say.

“They say he might be the heir to Maradona, but the only thing they have in common is that they kick with their left foot.”

Dybala started in Jorge Sampaoli’s first game in charge of the national side, featuring alongside Di Maria, Messi, and Higuain. The 23-year-old did not impress, but in all fairness, only Di Maria made an impact in the 1-0 win.

Dybala won over critics with his sensational display in the 3-0 win over Barca in the Champions League. Unfortunately, he disappointed in the final en route to a 4-1 loss.
