With Los Blancos taking on Juventus in the final on Saturday, we predict what will happen if Cristiano and Co. emerge triumphant.

Only a few days remain before Juventus and Real Madrid lock horns in the Champions League final. They will touch down in Cardiff for Saturday’s epic clash, as the Italian and Spanish champions fight to add European dominance to their cabinet.

Given Los Blancos experience in this tournament – they are the defending champions – Zidane’s men would be a safe bet. If Cristiano and Co. find their rhythm, the title could be returning to Santiago Bernabeu once more.

Here are four things that will happen.

Barca fans will go on a research frenzy to prove Messi was better than Cristiano

Messi and Cristiano are so influential that any achievement or shortcoming by their teams is awarded – or pinned – solely on them. The same can be said for this season.

Although none can deny Leo had a great season, finishing La Liga as top-scorer, Leo would die to be in Ronaldo’s position. The Portuguese ace is champions of Spain and could win a second consecutive Champions League trophy.

Thus, Barca fans must get creative and start working to prove Messi was better in 2016/17. Why?

Because Cristiano will win a fifth Ballon d’Or

If, and that is a huge if, Real Madrid win the Champions League, it’s hard to see another player outside of Los Blancos winning the Ballon d’Or.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona, Real Madrid, El Clasico, La Liga

The team’s success is not a single-handed result of Ronaldo – Zidane and the other players have been influential. However, the 32-year-old has stolen the headlines in the later stage of the season and will thus steal the Ballon d’Or.

Real Madrid will win even more trophies

Winning the Champions League means Zidane’s side will play in the UEFA Super Cup. They will lock horns with Man United, a team that struggled with Premier League clubs. Expect Los Blancos to win that title.

Then comes the FIFA Club World Cup later in 2017. Don’t bet your money on Real Madrid being shocked in that tournament.

Florentino Perez will get re-elected again

With presidential elections due this summer, why wouldn’t Real Madrid re-elect the man that has reigned over three Champions Leagues in the last four years.

Furthermore, Perez has promised another Galactico.
