This claim comes less than 24 hours after the exit of manager Thomas Tuchel.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s exploits in Bundesliga has kept him on the radar of some of Europe’s top club. In fact, it remained astonishing that Dortmund were able to keep hold of the Gabonese striker for this long given the interest in him.

Unfortunately, the DFB Pokal champions have lost the fight to retain the services of the German league’s top scorer. According to Yahoo Sport France, the 27-year-old has agreed to a Signal Iduna Park exit.

The former St. Etienne attacker, however, won’t be joining Real Madrid, neither will he be switching to Man City – another club he has been linked with. Instead, Aubameyang will be joining Ligue 1 giants PSG.

As stated in the report, an agreement has already been reached between both parties. Les Parisiens, who missed out on the French league title to Monaco, will pay Dortmund €70m.

The player is in line to earn €10m per year on top of a €6m bonus. A few details need to be ironed out, but the transfer is expected to go through.

It remains to be seen whether PSG will kill their interest in Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, as their attack would be overcrowded. Nonetheless, Aubameyang will be an excellent signing for Unai Emery’s side.

Although not official, should Aubameyang leave soon, it will follow the news of Thomas Tuchel’s exit. Despite ending their five-year wait for silverware, the manager left after reported disagreements with members of the board.
