An announcement is expected on Wednesday after meeting with Kroenke on Monday.

Arsene Wenger’s future weighs heavily on the minds of the fans, but according to ESPN, his fate has already been resolved. The Frenchman has reportedly already agreed terms to a two-year deal at the Emirates despite calls from the fans for his resignation.

Le Prof’s current deal ends in June, but an extension was done and dusted back in November, with only his signature remaining. Since then, the Wenger Out protest hit new highs after their embarrassing Champions League exit and failure to finish in the top four.

Wenger, who is keen on staying at the Emirates, won back some of his critics after Arsenal’s superb display to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final. That victory saw the club win a record 13th title – and Wenger a record 7th.

Although there are members in the board who believe it’s time for Wenger to leave, the decision lies in majority shareholder Stan Kroenke – a supporter of the Frenchman. Chief executive Ivan Gazidis is also behind the 67-year-old, but demands changes be made to Arsene’s backroom staff.

BBC Sport report that Wenger has already met with Kroenke, with the decision about the manager’s future resting solely in their hands.
