The French manager will meet the board on Tuesday to decide his future at the club.

After beating Chelsea to win the FA Cup on Saturday, Arsene Wenger salvaged some pride and finished the season on a high after the rollercoaster ride that was the 2016/17 season.

However, the Frenchman is still set for a decisive board meeting that will decide his future at the club. With fans demanding his resignation, and his contract ending this summer, it remains unclear what the future holds for Le Prof.

The Daily Mail claim to know what will happen. With Stan Kroenke attending the 2-1 win over the Blues, the majority share-holder was convinced of Wenger’s capabilities and will endorse a two-year extension.

The board will still demand changes in Wenger’s backroom staff, as they aim to improve the club’s footballing operations in order to return to their glory days. Wenger will fight some of these demands, though.

The 67-year-old, keen on remaining in north London, is open to change but will oppose restructuring to his disliking. One thing which the Gunners boss will fight is naming a sporting director, a position which he detests.

Tuesday’s meeting will be about “modernizing” the backroom staff, but the manager trusted by the board is known for being stubborn. Despite wanting to stay, Wenger’s fight could result in his Emirates Stadium exit.
