The French striker has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, but claimed that he will remain loyal to Atlético Madrid.

Antoine Griezmann stepped up to dismiss rumors placing him away from Atlético Madrid next season, as he claimed he's still happy living in the Spanish capital, and it's up to the team if they want him around.

"My agent and Miguel Angel Gil (Atlético's counselor) have issues to work out. I am really happy here, they just need to work things out between them," Griezmann told Cadena Ser's "El Larguero" show.

The French ace admitted he felt disappointed for not helping the team to win any titles, especially because that's what keeps him motivated.

"I want titles, I need to win them, and I'm not talking about personal accomplishments, I'm not like that. We've been a bit unlucky at times, and we just have to keep on working," the player added.

Griezmann also ruled out that Simeone's future had something to do with him staying or choosing to leave the team, even if he chose to call the Argentinean boss last season to find out if he was returning with Los Colchoneros for the season that's about to conclude.

"Simeone's future is not linked with mine. It's true, last year I called him to know what his plans were, and I also did it because the team and I needed him around. He told me that there was nothing to worry about, and that's about it. I want to keep working with him and get better being coached by him," Griezmann concluded.
