Monaco are flying high in Ligue 1 – but this is not breaking news. Les Rouges et Blancs are top of the table in France, and are on course to break PSG’s hold on the league title.
Leonardo Jardim’s young side are three points ahead of Laurent Blanc’s crew, with a game in hand. This means Mbappe and Co. should get their hands on the league crown soon should no complications occur in their last three games.
However, the title isn’t the only feat Monaco are eyeing. With the likes of Mbappe and Falcao leading their attack, they have conquered France. Scoring 98 goals this season in Ligue 1, they are on target to surpass the 100-goal mark in a single season.
The only other team to have scored 100+ goals this season in Europe’s top five leagues is Barcelona, with 108 strikes. Even Real Madrid, the Champions League finalists, trail Monaco’s tally by two goals.
Monaco’s top five scorers in Ligue 1
1. Radamel Falcao: 19 goals
2. Kylian Mbappe: 14 goals
3. Valère Germain and Thomas Lemar: 9 goals (each)
4. Fabinho: 8 goals
5. Bernardo Siva and Guido Carrillo: 7 goals (each)

Falcao has been their deadliest forward, but it is the young Mbappe who has been grabbing the headlines. Nonetheless, the entire team’s contribution that has been pivotal, as the club boast no 30-goal striker as PSG does with Edinson Cavani.
On Sunday, Monaco host Lille. It will be a tricky test, but Jardim’s side can win three points and reach the 100-goal mark.
