Over the weekend, fans got to see history in the making. Bayern Munich are again the champions of Germany after earning a comfortable victory on the road, whilst Hoffenheim, led by the youngest manager in the league, are still going strong in their quest to feature in European competition for the first time next season.
Let's have a look at what took place this weekend all around Germany.
1. A true maestro indeed
Carlo Ancelotti made history on Saturday as Bayern cruised to a 6-0 win over Wolfsburg. It was exactly the result he needed as his side were without a win in their past five games across all competitions. The victory ensured that die Roten now have won the Bundesliga title for a record-setting five consecutive times.
And whilst he will be certainly be very disappointed that is all the silverware he's earned his debut season - as Bayern are out of the DFB Pokal and the Champions League - he nonetheless wrote his name in the history books with this unprecedented achievement:
1 – @MrAncelotti is the 1st manager to win the league title in 4 of the 5 big leagues in Europe (ITA, ENG, FRA, GER)! Legend. pic.twitter.com/WdClfm2rJA

2. A historic win for a youthful coach
At 29, Julian Naglesmann is the same age as many of his players, and in fact, is younger than a few of them as well. Under his tutelage, Hoffenheim have had a fantastic season. Last term, they were nearly relegated, but managed to finish just above the play-off spot. And now, they are on the cusp of featuring in Champions League for the first time in the club's history.
Over the weekend, Hoffenheim earned a 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, setting a club record in the process:

3. Not a bad day at the office...
It's been a rough month for Augsburg. Prior to this weekend, they had won just one out of their last four fixtures, but they got back on track in resolute fashion by crushing Hamburg. That 4-0 win just so happens to be something that has never happened before for the club, too:

4. ...but Bayern continue to be Wolfsburg's Kryptonite
Wolfsburg must dread playing Bayern Munich. Last season, die Wolfe were humiliated single-handedly by Robert Lewandowski, who scored five - yes five - goals in just nine minutes to help die Roten win 5-1.
This weekend, they again hosted Bayern. And unfortunately for them, it was yet another game to forget in a hurry:

5. A very frustrating deadlocked situation
Meanwhile, Dortmund's hopes at securing third place took a blow as they fired blanks against Koln. Die Schwarzgelben ended up drawing that tie 0-0. Considering that both Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Anthony Modeste - who have 50 Bundesliga goals between them - were on the pitch, fans were probably quite surprised by that result.
But perhaps they shouldn't be, as this stat reveals:
10 – It was the 10th 0-0 between @BVB and @fckoeln_en – an equalised #Bundesliga record (with Dortmund vs. Schalke). Improvable. #BVBKOE pic.twitter.com/MjAiqVzExt

How the battle for the Torjägerkanone is shaping up
Last season's winner Robert Lewandowski currently stands alone in the race for the Torjägerkanone. However, his former colleague Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is very much still in the race and could overtake the Polish attacker before the end of this season.
