The Blues presently sit in seventh spot, and that puts them in contention for Europa League football for next term. Overall, they have done decently enough this term, as they have only lost two of their last 17 league matches - albeit both were against teams ranked higher than them in the table.
However, they come into this game with a whole crop of injuries and were crushed 5-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this term by Chelsea. That being said, a lot has changed and they will be hoping that their strong record at home against the Blues will help them to nick at least a point.

The visitors cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win the last time the two sides met, and come to Goodison Park with a full-strength squad at their disposal. Still, Lukaku's excellent form will definitely have Chelsea's defense concerned, as the big Belgian has netted in his last eight games at Everton's home ground. Having lost two out of their last five Premier League ties, Chelsea will naturally want to pick up all three points - especially with Tottenham facing a tough London Derby clash with Arsenal later in the day.
