Barcelona have officially ended any speculation of a Camp Nou exit for Neymar. The Brazilian has been a hit since joining the Blaugrana, but talks of an exit have never ceased.
His legal battles in Spain are cited as one driving force behind the exit rumors, whilst another being the player’s fondness of the Premier League. However, one Barcelona official insisted that the Selecao ace isn’t going anywhere.
The club’s technical secretary Robert Fernandez was speaking to RAC1 (as per Daily Mail) when he made this Neymar confession. When asked about the 25-year-old, Fernandez said: “He is totally untransferable.”
The player is under contract with the Catalan giants until 2021. His formidable partnership with Messi and Suarez has proven successful for the club, hence their desire to hold onto this trio for as long as possible.
MSN could, however, prevent the Spanish giants from signing one of football’s rising attackers: Paulo Dybala. The Juventus ace is tipped as the possible heir to Lionel Messi, having outshined the five-time Ballon d’Or winner when Juventus and Barca met in the Champions League.
Nonetheless, Fernandez, despite being full of praise for Dybala, admitted that there is no room for the Serie A ace. “He (Dybala) is a magnificent player, but we already have the best three [forwards] in the world,” said Barca’s technical secretary.
