Usually, players become trending topics on social media because of their accomplishments. Maybe, when things go wrong, they also get slammed. But this time, Danilo and Coentrao became a trending topic on Twitter even before the beginning of the game against Sporting.
While some of Real Madrid's supporters showed their loyalty to the team, most of them met their inclusion in today's lineup with disappointment and concern. Zidane had to choose Danilo over Dani Carvajal (suspended) while Coentrao got the starting spot instead of Marcelo, as part of Zizou's rotation policy. Needless to say, some of their comments where quite hilarious, while some others were borderline inappropriate.
