Carli Llyod was on the score sheet as USWNT thumped Russia 4-1 before the break during their international friendly.

Carli Lloyd scored from the spot as USWNT thumped Russia 4-1 in an international friendly in Houston on Sunday April 9 by half-time. The Manchester City Women's forward has now scored 97 goals for USWNT, and needs three more to enter the 100-goal mark. 

She made her debut for the WNT in 2005 and has since becoming one of the most influential players at the national team level. She is also among the most successful in the NT, having won the Olympic Gold Medal twice, the FIFA Women's World Cup once in 2015 and emerged runners-up in 2011. 

At the personal level, She has won a host of awards. They include Algarve Cup MVP, U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year, FIFA World Player of the Year (three times), CONCACAF Women's Player of the Year, CONCACAF Goal of the Year, among others.
