Benfica aiming to get back on track
Benfica come into this game having drawn their last three games across all competitions. In fact, they have not won a fixture in nearly a month, when they beat Belenenses 4-0 on March 13th. Since then, Rui Vitoria's side have posted a scoreless draw with Pacos de Ferreira, a 1-1 stalemate with Porto in last round's big clash, and were given a fright as Estoril managed to battle to earn a 3-3 draw. They narrowly qualified for the Taca de Portugal final as a result, and Benfica will be seeking to get back to winning ways this Sunday.
With Porto in action on Saturday against struggling Belenenses, the onus will be on Benfica to pick up maximum points in their upcoming tie with Moreirense. Fortunately for the visitors, their hosts are in a bad patch of form. They have failed to win their last five games, alternating between losses and draws, and despite Benfica's struggles on the road at times, Moreirense are not expected to manage to pull off a shock upset on Sunday.
Then again, they did beat Benfica 3-1 in the Taca da Liga earlier this year, so anything is possible.
