Bundesliga - Matchday 27 overview

Hoffenheim, however, will face a stern test as they prepare to welcome Bayern Munich later today. Both teams come into this match having won their respective fixtures over the weekend, but the hosts will be wary after seeing how die Roten crushed Augsburg in a typically dominant display. Will Julian Naglesmann's high-flying side be able to hold their own against their rampaging visitors?

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will have to recover after a 1-1 draw with Schalke as they take on Hamburg, also a bit later today. Thomas Tuchel's side have slipped out of the top three but can get back on track with a win against die Rothosen, who are slowly growing in confidence after managing to put together a four game unbeaten streak (three wins, one draw).

Augsburg will hope to rebound after their humiliating loss last weekend as they host Ingolstadt and seek to avoid making it a fifth game sans a win. However, the visitors are desperate to begin clawing their way up the table and come into their game having finally ended their own winless streak with a win over Mainz, who lock horns with Leipzig on Wednesday evening. Wolfsburg, spurred on by a Mario Gomez hat-trick, will next face Freiburg also on Wednesday as die Wolfe look to keep slowly working their way up the table.
