League leaders Monaco take on defending champions PSG in what should be a very interesting battle

Monaco

Leonardo Jardim's men are truly having a very impressive season. Not only are they leading PSG in the race for the Ligue 1 title by three points, but also they are the highest scoring side in Europe. In addition, it's Monaco who will be representing Ligue 1 in the Champions League after defeating Manchester City in a 6-6 aggregate thriller.

In terms of personnel, key midfielder Fabinho unfortunately will miss out due to a ban, whilst Jardim will be very concerned about the fitness of captain Radamel Falcao and defender Djibril Sidibe. Both will have pass a late fitness test to determine their availability.

PSG

The defending champions, meanwhile, sit in second place in Ligue 1 in what has been a very entertaining title race thus far. In addition, they will be seeking to make it an unprecedented fourth straight Coupe de la Ligue title after winning it in each of the last three seasons. In fact, PSG have won every single piece of domestic silverware possible since the start of the 2014/2015 campaign, and Unai Emery will be desperate to find some kind of redemption after seeing his side suffer a humiliating collapse in the Champions League.

PSG are the first side in history to have a 4-0 advantage after the first leg and fail to progress, as Barcelona pulled off the unthinkable to beat them 6-1 to get to the next round. Emery likely will have to do without the services of Marquinhos after the Brazilian defender picked up an injury whilst on international duty.
