The Real Madrid has been linked with a Camp Nou move, but the player squashed that speculation.

On Friday, Isco enjoyed a wonderful night with the national side. Despite starting on the bench in their World Cup qualifier against Israel, the midfielder was introduced in the second half before scoring en route to Spain’s 4-1 win.

Speaking to the media after the final whistle, the Real Madrid midfielder took the opportunity to discuss about his future. With much speculation surrounding where the Spaniard will be next season, he rubbished rumors linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a position in Zidane’s starting eleven, and has thus stalled on signing an extension. This has sparked talks of a move to Camp Nou.

Isco himself took the time to squash these rumors. The player attacked the media for inventing stories in a clear hint at the Barca stories. He said (as per AS):

"As players we're susceptible to rumours. We're used to it and now that there's less football with the international break, some sections of the media have to make things up."

Isco, however, made no pledge to the reigning Champions League holders. The former Isco ace is an in-demand player, with interest coming from the Premier League in his services.

Although Isco is unlikely to join the Blaugrana, he is also unlikely to remain on the Bernabeu bench past this summer.
