On Sunday, a depleted and tired Man United side traveled to Middlesbrough for a Premier League clash. Red Devils fans could be forgiven for being skeptical of winning due to their packed schedule and absent players.
Nonetheless, the 20-time league champions got the job done. Jose Mourinho’s boys came away with a vital win, beating Boro 3-1 thanks to goals from Fellaini, Lingard, and Valencia.
The win also put an end to the hilarious Man United jokes. After spending several weeks in sixth spot, they move into fifth – ahead of Arsenal – in the standings.
However, the most important fact about the victory was the fact that it saw the Red Devils set a Premier League record. The club became the first club to win 600 games in the English top-flight thanks to Sunday’s triumph.

The majority of the 600 wins came under Sir Alex Ferguson: 528, to be precise. The most successful manager after the legendary Scottish boss is Louis Van Gaal, with 39 wins in two seasons.
Mourinho, on his 14th win, is only three short of David Moyes’ tally from his abysmal 13/14 campaign. Club great Ryan Giggs also played his part, winning two games as caretaker.
