The Spanish goalkeeper wasn't able to keep Porto alive in the competition, as a lonely goal by Dybala gave the bianconeri one more win against the Dragons.

No, Iker Casillas wasn't able to reach the Quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League again, but he managed to achieve one more milestone for his illustrious career.

The Spanish shot-stopper became the footballer with most games played in European tournaments, by reaching 175 games. Casillas played 157 matches for Real Madrid, and has added another 18 with Porto since joining them last season.

The previous record holder was Italian legend Paolo Maldini, who racked up 174 matches when the tournaments had less games to be played each season. Incidentally, Casillas also surpassed Xavi's record for most games played by a Spanish player, reaching 164 games in the European competition that saw the goalkeeper's exit today.

At 35, and with Porto battling to win the Primeira Liga head-to-head against Benfica, Casillas could have one more chance to play in the most relevant club competition in the world. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until the summer to find out.
