Juventus aiming to make strong home record count

The Bianconeri come into this game having earned a 2-1 win over AC Milan last Friday. Whilst the victory was shrouded in controversy due to Juventus being granted a last-minute spot-kick, it nonetheless marks another step as La Vecchia Signora aim to make it an unprecedented sixth straight Scudetto this May. Having beaten Napoli 3-1 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi's earlier this month, Massimiliano Allegri's men also have one foot in the finals as well.

With those two competitions pretty much set, Juventus will turn their attention to the one title that has eluded them for two decades - the Champions League. In 2015, they made it to the final, but in 2016, were frustrated to see their campaign end at the hands of Bayern Munich. La Vecchia Signora could end up meeting the Bavarians at some point, but having received a more favorable draw this season, they will look to take advantage of that to book their spot in the quarter-finals for the 10th time.

Juve will have pretty much everyone available for this game. Mario Mandzukic missed the clash against the Rossoneri due to flu but should be back in the starting XI to complete Allegri's new 4-2-3-1 set-up alongside Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain, and Juan Cuadrado. Meanwhile, Claudio Marchisio, who has seen his playing time limited as of late due to the new system, could return to the fold, but Giorgio Chiellini is a potential absentee due to recovery from a thigh injury. Only midfielder Stefano Sturaro is a definite no-go for this fixture due to an injury of his own.

As for Porto, they come into this game without defender Alex Telles, who was sent off in the first leg and thus will be banned for this fixture. Veteran shot-stopper Iker Casillas, who has won this tournament several times whilst with Real Madrid, will hope to rally his side as they seek to achieve the near impossible: to overturn a 2-0 first leg home loss and to do it at Juventus Stadium, where their opponents have yet to lose a game across all comps this season.
