The monthly Premier League awards are out, and it sees two players in London and Pep Guardiola scoop up a prizes. The Spanish tactician was named Manager of the Month, whilst Eden Hazard and Harry Kane were honored for a spectacular February.
Hazard was given the Goal of the Month prize for his excellent solo effort against Arsenal in the Blues 3-1 triumph. After picking up the ball in his own half, he ran through several Gunners players – utterly embarrassing Francis Coquelin – before beating former team-mate Petr Cech.
That beautiful effort by the Belgian star was his only goal in February, but it helped Conte’s boys maintain a 10-point lead. He also grabbed an assist in their last game before March – a 3-1 win over Swansea.
Kane was named Player of the Month for three excellent games in February in which he found the back of the net four times. He now currently leads the top-scorers chart. There was a superb hat-trick against Stoke in Spurs’ last game of February, which the Englishman followed up with two goals in the Everton win.
Guardiola was also honored after an impressive 28-run with the Citizens. It was his first award as Man City manager, one which he earned after winning all three games. Aguero and Co. scored eight along the way and conceded only once.
