The Juventus boss is one of many candidates being tipped to replace Le Prof should he leave this summer.

Arsenal take on Bayern Munich on Tuesday in a highly-anticipated Champions League clash. This game is eagerly-awaited not because fans expect an entertaining game, but they wish to see how the current crisis unfolds.

The 3-1 loss to Liverpool leaves the Gunners outside the top four, with their odds of making next season’s Champions League diminishing. As a result, calls for Le Prof to be replaced by Massimiliano Allegri – the man who continues to dominate Serie A.

The Juventus boss recently denied rumors of an Arsenal move. He said (as per Sky Sports): "I repeat what I have already said before, it's not true," he said. "The second thing, even if there was something in it, the first to know and learn my wish to leave would be Juventus.”

A look at Allegri’s numbers this season in the Champions League show why Arsenal fans are right to want him. Both managers have undergone seven games – 630 minutes.

Goals scored

Arsenal: 19

Juventus: 13

Juventus boast Dybala, Madzukic, and Gonzalo Higuain. Yet, it’s Wenger’s boys who have scored more times despite facing PSG in the group stage, and Bayern in the last 16.

This isn’t very surprising, as Le Prof is an advocate for attractive football, where walking the ball into the back of the net is preferred to the direct approach.

Goals conceded

Arsenal: 11

Juventus: 2

Where the Gunners have failed miserably this campaign is the art of defending.  Wenger’s undisciplined boys have exposed the already declining Petr Cech. Allegri, on the other hand, has his back four performing like champions.

Defensive errors (leading to goals)

Arsenal: 3 (1)

Juventus: 0

Allegri has zero tolerance for defensive errors. Wenger, on the other hand, struggles to stamp it out.

Clean sheets

Arsenal: 2

Juventus: 5

The Italian boss’ defense has been head and shoulders above Arsenal’s. If Allegri was to join the Gunners, a much-needed revamp of their defense could be expected.
