The Chilean was dropped to the bench in the Liverpool defeat after a string of arguments with the manager.

It is the biggest worry on every Arsenal fan’s mind: where will Alexis Sanchez be playing next season? The Chilean ace is in contract negotiations with the Gunners, but recent occurrences all point to a summer exit for their star attacker.

The South American’s relationship with manager Arsene Wenger has drastically deteriorated. This was visible for all to see when Le Prof decided to bench the former Barca ace in their trip to Liverpool, despite needing a win.

According to the Mirror, the row between player and manager began over two weeks ago after the north London outfit’s embarrassing 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Wenger lost it with the 28-year-old over his performance and attitude during and in the aftermath of that game.

Sanchez is accused of turning on his team-mates after the Bayern defeat, with his attitude and work-rate coming into question. Wenger believes that Alexis’ behavior has affected the team spirit, with the last straw coming prior to the Anfield trip after numerous previous clashes.

The attacker has made up his mind – despite the offer of a new £180,000-a-week deal, Alexis Sanchez has decided to pack his bags and leave this summer.

His decision to quit the club forced Le Prof to drop him for Saturday’s game. Alexis was not happy despite his half-time introduction, remaining unhappy about the decision even after full-time.

Several clubs are in the race for the Chilean, with PSG leading the pack. The French giants have been eyeing the attacker for months, and – due to their financial strength – can offer him £300,000 every seven days. There is interest from Juventus, but Sanchez is reluctant to return to Italy.
