Week 27 of the English Premier League is right around the corner, and it will see the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Southampton return to action. Those four clubs sat out the last round due to the League Cup final between the latter two clubs.
And what a week it will be for the Gunners to return to action. The north London giants will travel to Anfield to face Liverpool, having lost 3-4 at the Emirates in the first game of the season. The Gunners, low on confidence, face an out-of-form Reds who lost their last game 3-1 to Leicester.
The Red Devils, fresh off their League Cup success, play Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick off. It’s also the first game of this round, and a win for the Red Devils will be their 600th in the Premier League.
Tottenham also face a tricky test, taking on Everton over the weekend. Failure to win could be bad for their hold on second place, given that Spurs have played an extra game than both City and Arsenal.
Leicester, who turned up the style in their first game since Claudio Ranieri’s sacking, take on Hull City in a key battle to avoid relegation. The Tigers, in 19th place, are only three points behind the 15th-placed Foxes.
