Cristiano Ronaldo is now the new record holder of the most penalties scored in La Liga's history. The 32-year-old scored a 74th minute penalty to keep Los Blancos at level with rivals Villarreal on Sunday. Alvaro Morata scored the winning goal as the game ended 3-2 in favor of the visitors.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 57 penalties in La Liga - this makes him the highest penalty scorer in the history of the league. The record was previously owned by club legend Hugo Sanchez.
