The Belgian goalkeeper could be headed for a Stamford Bridge exit soon, but the Blues have a plan laid out.

According to Goal, Chelsea might soon find themselves in a goalkeeping conundrum. The Premier League leaders goal is currently in safe hands under Thibaut Courtois’ reign, but the Belgian might not remain between the posts at Stamford Bridge for long.

According to the report, La Liga giants Real Madrid are keen on luring the Chelsea custodian to Santiago Bernabeu. Having long chased after David de Gea, Los Blancos are ready to abandon that hunt in favor of Courtois, as they believe the Blues ace would be easier to sign.

The 24-year-old is reportedly open to a move to Madrid having spent three years in the Spanish capital with Atletico Madrid on loan. Any move to Real Madrid would most probably see him shatter Buffon’s £47.5 record for most expensive goalkeeper in history.

Chelsea already have a plan in place to replace the Belgian. The report claims that Conte’s side will move for Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak. Landing the Slovenian might prove difficult, however.

Firstly, he signed an extension that will keep him at Atletico until 2021. That contract can be broken with a €100m offer, as stipulated in his release clause.
