Bundesliga - Matchday 22 overview
Last round saw Bayern Munich stumble yet again and they needed a very late goal in order to avoid a defeat to a high-flying Hertha Berlin. That game ended in die Roten setting a record for the latest ever goal, but also saw coach Carlo Ancelotti get himself in a bit of hot water. In any case, the Italian tactician will be celebrating a big milestone this Saturday - his 100th game in charge. Will he be able to mark a millennium of games with a victory against Hamburg at the Allianz Arena?
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig will be desperate to try to again close the gap on die Roten. Die Bullen have been surprisingly good in their first ever season in the Bundesliga, and will be determined to take their story a step further by participating in next season's Champions League. However, Ralph Hassenhutl's side face a tricky home clash against Koln, who have been spearheaded by the exploits of French striker Anthony Modeste - who's in contention for the coveted Torjägerkanone this term.
Speaking of the Torjägerkanone, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will want to find his goal-scoring boots quickly. Modeste is tied with him on 17 goals, and Borussia Dortmund will be traveling to face Freiburg on Saturday. Die Schwarzgelben are out of the race for the Bundesliga title, and need to be very careful that they do not tumble out of a top four spot by the time the dust settles at the end of this round.
