Juventus have what it takes to win this season's UEFA Champions League, Gonzalo Higuain has revealed.

Juventus foward Gonzalo Higuain has tipped the Old Lady to win the Champions League title this season. The Turin-based club last won the European competition in 1996.

The Argentine is quite an unlucky man - he joined Napoli from Real Madrid at the beginning of the 2013/14 season, and that's the same season Los Blancos lifted the prestigious title for the 10th time in their history. He is now hoping to steer his side to the final but they first have to cruise past Porto on Wednesday in their last 16 tie. Speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, the 29-year-old told La Stampa (via Daily Mail):

''We can win the Champions League, but we have to be calm.

''I know we're a strong team and I know we can get to the end. So we have to start that journey away at Porto.'

''I know I made the right choice (in moving in the summer), I don't feel any pressure. In fact, it's a privilege for me to think that they bought me while thinking about winning in Europe.

''I'm 29 now and I've reached a point of mental tranquillity. I'm playing for a team which will challenge for the Champions League, and I've found a beautiful city.''

The lethal forward is expected to lead the attack against the Portuguese giants. He has already scored 22 goals in 32 appearances and provided three assits in all competitions for Juve this season.
