Since knocking Real Madrid out of the Kings Cup, famously known as the Copa del Rey, Celta have beaten Leganes away from home. There is no doubt that shattering the hopes of Zinedine Zidane's men has boosted Celta's confidence.
They now approach this tie with their eyes set on the finals and the ultimate prize. But before that, they must fast dismiss Alaves, a team that does not seem that easy to defeat. Although they have registered draws in their last three fixtures in all competitions, their win over Alcorcon in the first-leg of the quarter-final should inspire them to perform even better at this level.
Vigo are the stronger side on paper - in the latest La Liga standings, they sit at the eigth spot with 30 points, while Alaves are 12th with 24 points.
