Chiapas' midfielder Christian Bermudez had a mental coaching session on the pitch, in one more effort by the team to avoid relegation.

Clubs around the world try everything in their power to avoid relegation, but Mexican club Chiapas may have hit the nail on its head.

Known for their financial problems in recent years, the team from Southeast Mexico appealed to mental coach Luis Guillén to help their players to focus. One of those players was Christian Bermúdez, who has experienced issues on and off the pitch, and decided to have his hypnosis session taped and broadcast on the team's social media.

The first video includes the hypnosis session in Spanish. But rest assured, you don't need to know what they're saying.

Next, Bermúdez stepped up to take a free kick. Have a look at his impressive results.

We don't know if Bermúdez will benefit from this session in the near future or not, but this is surely one interesting approach for teams to take in order to avoid relegation.
