The Welshman could overtake Paul Pogba, as rumors linking him with a Premier League move heat up again.

Gareth Bale’s input this season has been limited due to injury, but the demand for the Welshman remains on a high. He has been linked with a return to the English Premier League, a speculation which refuses to go away.

Despite refuting claims that he is keen on a Bernabeu exit, the player is being tipped with a Real Madrid exit. This is according to Marca, who claim that the 27-year-old is on the radar of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Of course, this is nothing new. However, the Spanish publication have spiced up this report by reporting that the English giants are ready to break the bank. In fact, they are ready to make him the world’s most expensive player again.

A few months after losing that title to Paul Pogba, he could regain it should Los Blancos accept the €200m bid Marca claim the Blues and Red Devils are plotting. Furthermore, he could even earn a whopping €400,000-per-week salary.

The report also adds that interest from China exists. However, the player would only return to the Premier League should he leave the Champions League holders.

Bale won’t feature in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey clash with Celta Vigo, which Zidane’s boys trail 2-1. The attacker returned to ball-work, but he won’t make his return to the pitch until early March.
