Elneny has no plans to leave the Emirates any time soon, the player has confirmed.

Arsenal's January signing Mohamed Elneny has revealed his plans to spend his future at the North London club. The Egyptian midfielder is currently representing his country at the African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, he revealed his intentions to stay at the club and emulate the French legend. The 24-year-old, however, also admitted that he had his own playing style and personality that would not make him exactly like Henry. He said:

“When I came to England, and Arsenal, I adapted so quickly because I felt straight away it was like a family, a whole big family.

“You are someone new, but they embrace you. They bring you in. Everyone loves each other. When you feel like people love you, and they want you around, that makes you adapt quickly, you enjoy being there.''

He added:

“That’s why when I leave, even on holiday or with Egypt, I miss it. I want to be a legend at this club. I want to be a legend at this club. Like Thierry Henry. I mean, obviously not exactly like him. I have my own personality, my own character. I want to be different to anyone that’s gone before. But since I got here, I’ve always had that in mind. I wanted to become an Arsenal legend.''

The defensive midfielder has made 22 league appearances for the gunners since joining from FC Basel. His country qualified for the knockout phase of the AFCON after edging out Uganda by a solitary goal in their last group stage game.
