Everyone was waiting for this day to arrive, but no one believed it would be as epic as it ended up being.
Wayne Rooney broke Sir Bobby Charlton's goal scoring record for Manchester United during the final moments of the match against Stoke City, rescuing a point for José Mourinho's men and keeping their unbeaten streak alive.
Rooney was able to score his historic goal with a free kick. Stoke City's defenders expected Manchester United's No. 10 to look for one of his team-mates, but he drilled the ball into the upper left hand corner of Lee Grant's net, giving his supporters cause for celebration.
The now-legendary English striker earned universal praise from fans and experts, who shared their thoughts on social media.
