In order to meet the Argentinean's wage demands, Los Blaugranas could be forced to sell some of their finest footballers. Which ones? Find out!

Why hasn't Barcelona offered Lionel Messi a new contract?

The answer, to put it in simple terms, is the team's lack of money. Apparently, "La Pulga" has asked for a staggerig amount of money, and with Barça's problems to fund their stadium renewal and other contract extensions, the amount of cash Lionel Messi is asking is simply not there. But are they thinking about letting Messi leave? The answer is no.

Barcelona's execs are getting ready to offer Messi a new deal, but in order to do that, they must sell at least two players. One of them is Arda Turan, who's being linked with a move to the Chinese Super League. Although the Turkish star is not keen on the idea, the right amount of money would make him change his mind.

The other player set to leave Camp Nou is Ivan Rakitic, considering how Luis Enrique has erased him from most of the team's starting lineups. Manchester City seems to be his destination, despite the Croatian's words about being loyal to the coach's thoughts about him.

Another far-fetched rumor sees Gerard Pique leaving the Catalan side, but this seems to be a long-shot, considering his influence in the team's locker room and his friendship with "La Pulga".
