Round 21 of the English Premier League left us with several interesting stats. Here are the most eye-catching ones.

Another round of the English Premier League has gone by, bringing a weekend of exciting football. There were impressive wins for some clubs, disappointing results for a one or two, and an embarrassing defeat for one – Man City.

The Citizens lost 4-0 away to Everton, all but ending any hopes of winning the league. Meanwhile, Chelsea kept on winning, whilst Arsenal returned to victory. Here’s how the table currently looks.

Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, English Premier League

The race for this season’s Golden Boot is much closer.

Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Harry Kane, English Premier League

We’ve heard it several times before, but the stats are pointing to Chelsea winning to league

If you haven’t noticed, Chelsea are on a roll. They beat the defending champions Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium without leading goalscorer Diego Costa.

And yes, we have seen all the previous stats that favor the Blues to win the title, but we were treated to a new one after their victory.

The last time Chelsea beat a defending champion both home and away was in 09/10 vs. Man United, and the Stamford Bridge side won the league that term.

Marco Alonso, Victor Moses, Leicester City, Arsenal, English Premier League

Pep’s worst season

Pep Guardiola lost 4-0 vs. Everton, his worst ever league defeat. The result left the Citizens in 10th and 10 points behind leaders Chelsea. One more loss for the Spaniard, and it will officially be his worst season as manager.

And since they have to play Arsenal and Chelsea away, it is inevitable.

DID YOU KNOW?

The 1-1 tie between Man United and Liverpool was the first time they drew both their league encounters since 87/88.
