The Ivory Coast striker has been negotiating with 'O Timao' for the past couple of weeks, following the end of his contract with Montreal Impact

38-year old striker Didier Drogba isn't thinking about retirement yet, as he seems ready to extend his career playing for a South American squad.

Reports from Globoesporte revealed that a deal could be reached soon for Drogba to play in the Brasileirao, even though the team was having second thoughts about signing the Ivory Coast legend when negotiations began.

Drogba was keen on returning to Ligue 1, but his agent offered the player's services to Corinthians two weeks ago, when all dealings started.

Drogba is considered a legend by Ivory Coast's National Team and Chelsea's supporters. He led Montreal Impact to the 2015 MLS Cup semi-finals in his debut season, but problems with the team's coach led to his decision not to extend his contract with the Canadian side.
