La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have announced the renewal of their contract with Plus500, a multinational provider of Contracts for Difference (CDF's) through the 2017/18 season. The company has been the official shirt sponsor for the Madrid-based ckub since the summer of 2015. Prior to that, Plus500 had operated mainly as one of the club's secondary sponsors whose name appeared at the back of the team's shirts last season, before moving a notch higher to become the club's main shirt sponsor.
Meanwhile, Atletico manager Diego Simeone has named a 19-man squad to face Las Palmas in the second leg of their Copa del Rey tie today. The Argentine manager will however be without the likes of Carrasco, Oblak, Tiago, Augusto, Moreira and Cerci. Two players from the reserve team have also been named in his squad - they include Keidi and Ruben Fernandez.
