It is no longer a rumor - Premier League side Arsenal have completed the signing of exciting starlet Cohen Bramall from Hednesford Town in the Northern League Premier Division for a fee of around £40,000. The youngster was signed by the club after undergoing successful trials, and is set to play for the under-23s squad as he develops his way through the first team.
Prior to signing for Arsenal, the 20-year-old left-back had undergone trials at Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday but the turning point of his career came when he tried his luck with the gunners. He told the club's official website:
“Palace came in for me and I went on trial with them for the week, and I played in a against Brentford. It went OK, and then I went on trial at Sheffield Wednesday.”
He also narrated how he used to work at a car factory while playing football part-time, and was later noticed by Arsenal legend Brian McDermott. He said:
"Brian McDermott, one of the scouts at Arsenal to see me on trial at Sheffield Wednesday. He doesn't really come down to those sort of games but if he wasn't there it wouldn't have happened.”
