Manchester City are reportedly close to agreeing a deal with the German center-back.

Manchester City's defense hasn't been on point this season. From the league's top six clubs, only Liverpool (23) have conceded more that the Citizens (22) in 2016/17. Thus, rumors linking them with Holger Badstuber come as no surprise.

The Bayern Munich defender worked with Guardiola and is out of favor at the Allianz Arena. The German center-back has been tipped to make his move to the Etihad as early as January.

However, Pep is coy over signing the 27-year-old. Speaking after their FA Cup win over West Ham, the Spanish tactician revealed that he is on their radar.

Guardiola also admitted that they need reinforcements in the defensive department, but stressed that Badstuber remains a Bayern Munich player.
