Louis Van Gaal was the man tasked with returning Man United to its glory, glory days prior to Jose Mourinho’s arrival. However, the Dutchman’s reign lead to the same – possibly even worse – levels of mediocre as David Moyes.
Van Gaal was known for being tactical, but the Red Devils were boring under his helm. The current manager, Mourinho, has now taken a sly dig at the Dutchman’s time at Old Trafford.
Louis was only around for two seasons, and in both seasons their Player of the Year was David De Gea. The Special One found this funny, claiming that “something’s wrong” when the goalkeeper was the standout player for two straight seasons.
