Oscar left Chelsea for China in a £60m move. The Brazilian’s exit has left a vacancy in midfield, and huge sums of money to fill the gap. Although the Blues have several talented midfielders, they are reportedly going big for Oscar’s replacement.
Recent rumors have linked the Premier League leaders with a move for Arturo Vidal. The logic is of little surprise – Antonio Conte worked with the Chilean ace at Juventus for several seasons en route to conquering the Serie A.
Talks of a £40m bid for Vidal has been tossed around, but no official statements were made on the claims regarding the 29-year-old. Until now, that is.
Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti broke the silence regarding this issue, with his response coming as a huge blow to Chelsea fans hopeful of landing the midfielder. According to the Italian boss, the rumors are “absolute rubbish”.

Don’t expect Antonio Conte to lose any sleep over Ancelotti’s remarks, as Chelsea already have a squad destined to win the league. The Blues boss will instead be focused on Wednesday’s game, as Diego Costa and Co. face a tricky trip to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham.
