Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is conspicuously missing from the squad list to face Sevilla in the Copa del Rey. The Spanish outfit released a 19-man squad list that will host their rivals at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday for their first game of the New Year.
The Portugal captain joins a list of five other superstars who will be unavailable due to injury. They include late goal-scoring defender Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vazquez, Pepe, Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic.
The two European giants are set to clash three times in 11 days. They face each other on Wednesday in the first round of the Copa del Rey at the Santiago Bernabeu, then face each other for the second leg on Jan 12 for the second leg, before clashing again in La Liga three days later.
