Manchester United have a gem in Sir Alex Ferguson even during his days of retirement as the club's manager.

If you're a Man United fan, you must be pleased with the recent series of good results from the club. The thought of defeat is slowly fading away in the mind of many of the club's fans after registering five wins in a row in all competitions,  which include four in a row in the Premier League.

And according to The Sun, it was Sir Alex Ferguson's intervention that worked the magic. The British publication claims that the legendary manager had a word with Jose Mourinho when things were getting thick, and adviced him to go back to being  his normal self - the Special One.The Sun NewspaperThis came at a time when the Red Devils had registered a series of dissapointing draws despite playing better football than last season's. The draws also pushed the Old Trafford outfit further down the table, and were often found zero-grazing around the eighth and seventh spot.

But thanks to Fergie's intervention, the 20-time Premier League champions are four points away from the top four, and still have the prospects of catching up with the league leaders if they continue with the winning spree. And now that they are still in contention for the Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup, it seems the Special One will need more trips to SAF's office.
