The 2016 UEFA Euro winner with Portugal has been offered a massive wage increase to leave Los Blancos by the end of this season.

The fruitful relationship between Portuguese defender Pepe and Real Madrid seems to be living its final days, as a couple of tempting offers from the Chinese Super League seem to be threatening the player's future at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

A report by Spanish newspaper Marca claims that the Portuguese center back hasn't been able to reach an agreement for a contract extension with Los Blancos, forcing him to look elsewhere to continue his career. With that in mind, Chinese Super League execs have reportedly offered the defender 10 million euros to join Hebei Fortune, the team coached by Manuel Pellegrini, who also had a good relationship with Pepe while the pair worked together at Real Madrid.

Before the transfer ban on Real Madrid was reduced, Florentino Pérez's staff devoted itself to extending most of the players' contracts. That hasn't been the case with Pepe, since the Portuguese player wanted to sign a contract extension for more than one year, something that the team's execs weren't ready to offer.

With Pepe's contract coming to a close by the end of the season, it would be a serious blow for Los Blancos to watch one of the best defenders in team history walking away for free. Will the Chinese Super League offer twist his arm just enough? We may be able to find out in the upcoming weeks.
