Manchester United star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has backed the recent transfer rumors linking the club with a move for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof (pictured below). Speaking at a press-conference ahead of their league clash against Sunderland at Old Trafford, the 35-year-old star claimed that his country mate Lindelof is ready to play at the big stage.
The Red Devils have reportedly identified the defender as the perfect replacement for Eric Bailly in January. The latter will be on international duty with Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations tournament which starts on January 14 and runs till February 5, 2017. For that reason, Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is plotting to reinforce the club’s defence for the long-term future. And according to British publication the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have offered 38 million British pounds to land the signature of the highly-rated defender.
