According to Catalan-based paper Mundo Deportivo, Lionel Messi will be runner up once again, while Antoine Griezmann is set to finish third.

It seems that Cristiano Ronaldo will add one more individual trophy to his cabinet, as Mundo Deportivo has published the Portuguese ace will become the first recipient of FIFA's "The Best" award.

According to the Spanish publication, sources inside Real Madrid's camp revealed that the club is already preparing the trip to Switzerland in January, where the team's all-time top scorer would be joined by president Florentino Pérez, his family and his coach.

Mundo Deportivo's journalist Francesc Aguilar adds that CR7's win over Messi will not be as big as the Ballon D'Or voting, where the Portuguese striker doubled Messi's points tally. Antoine Griezmann is set to finish the ballot in a distant third spot.

Real Madrid's expedition also believes Zinedine Zidane could take the Best Coach Award home, although the favorite to win the prize is Claudio Ranieri, who led Leicester City to a shocking EPL title a few months ago.

This won't be the first time in which Cristiano Ronaldo receives an individual award by FIFA, since he picked up the 2008 FIFA World Player Award.
