The player's salary and assets from 2015 were released amid claims of tax impropriety continues.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most recent player to be dragged into tax-related problems. The three-time Ballon d’Or winner has been accused of tax impropriety by several sources, despite his representative denying any wrongdoing.

No official charges have been brought against the Portuguese ace, but his name has been dragged through the mud nonetheless. As a result, Gestifute – the company owned by his agent Jorge Mendes – has released the player's income from 2015.

The company claims that although they are not legally obliged to do so, they have chosen this act in order to prove the Real Madrid ace’s innocence. Gestifute also claim that the Spanish tax authorities have been provided with these documents.

The document shows just how much the 31-year-old made last year, and it is astonishing. Cristiano declared a £19.8m income from Spain, whilst he declared £171m in rights and assets elsewhere. This means the player had money and assets worth £191m in 2015 alone.

Breaking down these numbers shows that the Euro 2016 champion's assests were worth £523,000 a day last year. This translates to £3.7m every week, tallying up to £15.9m per month. For those who already think Cristiano earns more than he deserves, the player stands to make even more in 2016.

Ronaldo put pen to paper on a bumper new deal with Los Blancos not too long ago, taking his club wages to £365,000-a-week after tax.
