Here are the Real Madrid players could be unavailable for El Clasico this weekend.

As the world prepares for the biggest game in Spanish football – Barcelona vs Real Madrid, we take a look at the latest team news from both camps. We start with the visitors, Real Madrid, who have a number of injuries and suspensions ahead of this classic clash on Saturday December 3, 2016.

Injuries

Toni Kroos

The German midfielder is set to miss this epic clash due to a hairline crack on his foot. He is expected to return in January2017 and has so far missed eight matches for Los Blancos since picking up the injury.

Gareth Bale

The Real Madrid winger picked up an ankle injury in the Champions League clash against Sporting CP last week. Several reports from Spain suggest that he could be out for at least four months. The Welshman has so far missed two matches for the Spanish giants.

Alvaro Morata

Morata picked up a muscle strain during Spain’s friendly with England earlier this month. He is expected to return two weeks after El Clasico, and has since missed seven matches for Real Madrid in all competitions.

Raphael Varane

Although the center-back resumed training earlier today with Zidane’s men after picking up a meniscus irritation, it is not yet clear whether he will be fielded in the derby. He was expected to be fully-fit by December 2, 2016 but it seems he is being rushed to pass a late fitness test.

Returning from injury

Casemiro

UPDATE: Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has named Casemiro in the starting lineup to face Cultural Leonesa. The French manager explained that he wanted the Brazilian to play some few minutes on Wednesday in order to gauge his fitness levels ahead of El Clasico. Speaking during a pre-match press conference, Zidane said:

"Tomorrow (Wednesday) he (Casemiro) will get some minutes, that’s the idea. It will be his first match and we will see on Saturday what happens. He's back with the group and he's ready to play."

Suspensions

None at the moment. We will keep updating this article as soon as we receive the latest team news from the club.
